Job Description:

As a Data Privacy Implementation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing data privacy measures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies to protect sensitive information and uphold data privacy principles. Your primary responsibilities will include:

      • Assessment and Analysis: Conducting thorough assessments of existing data privacy practices and systems to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Analyzing regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
      • Implementation Planning: Creating implementation plans for data privacy initiatives, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of initiatives within established timelines and budgets.
      • Training and Awareness: Developing training materials and conducting training sessions to educate employees on data privacy principles, policies, and procedures. Promoting awareness of data privacy risks and best practices throughout the organization to foster a culture of compliance.
      • Technical Solutions Implementation: Collaborating with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement technical solutions and controls to protect data privacy. This may include encryption technologies, access controls, data masking techniques, and data loss prevention tools.
      • Monitoring and Compliance: Establishing monitoring mechanisms to track compliance with data privacy policies and regulations. Conducting regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and identify areas for improvement. Recommending corrective actions and remediation strategies as needed.
      • Incident Response: Developing and implementing incident response plans for data privacy incidents, including data breaches and unauthorized disclosures. Coordinating response efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders to minimize impact and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPT) is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or related field, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
    • Experience in developing and implementing data privacy policies, procedures, and controls within complex organizations.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Familiarity with data privacy technologies and tools, such as encryption, access management, and data classification solutions.
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex data privacy challenges.
    • Proven track record of driving results and achieving compliance objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
